whatever you are thinking of spending , divide it by say 8 and buy 8 chunks spaced apart by 1 week . Trying to work out the "best time to buy" is probably doomed to fail. The only problem being the cost of trade .
you will probably get your self a close to average price rather than experiencing the fear of "what if"
just a thought
BTW I do agree with others that at some point ( probably much sooner than later ) you would expect a retrace of sorts . the above strategy may help with smoothing the ave buy price
