I am not blaming our current socialist government. As you rightly pointed out, the LNP had the opportunity to direct policy, but in pursuing the role of appeasement rather than leadership, they chose WOKE ideologies over reality. Having little or no experience in the real world, most politicians have spent most of their working lives living off our tax dollars. While we are doomed to be governed by those who seek the sheltered workshops of taxpayer funded jobs, we do have the capacity to select the candidates to represent our preferred party. Hence, we get the government we deserve.
