The majority of charging occurs at home, with a normal 3 point wall plug which can provide up to 200km for an overnight charge. Otherwise spend $250 and upgrade your wall plug to a higher Amp and you can easily get >300km range from charging overnight. If you spend a little more and get a dedicated EV wall chargers you can pretty much go 0-100% overnight without fail.
For the rare times you need to use a public charger (going beyond 400-500km), Superchargers are nowhere as busy as the media portrays it to be, especially in Australia. Personally I’ve never had to wait to charge at a supercharger in the last 20 or so times I’ve gone to one.
As for electricity costs, I’ve spent around 1/10th of what I would spent on petrol in the last year I’ve had an EV. And $0 on servicing.
