just to add to the last - one thing I noticed yesterday was the English (OZ/UK) couple were talking about the learning curve for them - finding out that France seems to have public holidays and not tell anyone (although the French all seem to know, the lunch closures, the 'unplanned' closures- I was sitting there having a giggle, because - I went through that - and, I don't know what it is or how I learned - but, I just don't get caught out now
it's not knowledge that's been gained from looking about - it's sort of like something has just seeped in and kinda works - quite odd really.
It's a bit like going bush (real bush) in Oz - for a city slicker, it takes some getting used to how Oz works in the outback, the far north, the territory etc etc
