This plaint has been on-going for years and years - since 2011, through at least 3 Wardens Court proceedings and also Supreme Court followups.
The final, final conclusion was delivered by Warden McPhee on the 3rd of August 2022 - which was that his recommendation to the Minister, was that their (OBM) Exemption Application, be refused.
That is, he found that Micheal Thompson was correct and that their (OBM), claim to Lady Ida should be forfeited. They had simply not done the work on the leases that the Mining Regulations required.
It covered over 100 pages of detailed analysis.
It seems to me that OBM have buckleys chance to retain Lady Ida. We will know in the fullness of time, when the Minister decides on the recommendation. Here's hoping!
