There is no doubt that country life lags the city experience.
I left the city at about 7 or 8 and moved to the country.
For the same reason, my wife and I moved back to the bush when my wife was expecting our first for that reason.
There is a definite sense of community in smaller populations and that engenders a different attitude.
I guess that can't be corrected in the big cities sadly.
