    Hi,

During the month of May (after GAL's Callisto discovery), I did a whole lot of research about the very early beginnings of Mt. Thirsty, which apears to have already been a JORC compliant "resource" in 2006 (700,000 tonnes grading .50% cobalt and 1.20% nickel), but at that time, it was 100% owned by an "unlisted" private company called "Select Minerals".

The following statement contained in the following article from Business News (from December 2006), appears to confirm my findings about this already existing Mt. Thirsty JORC compliant "resource" in 2006:

"The Project contains an existing JORC compliant internal high grade indicated cobalt and nickel oxide resource of 700,000 tonnes grading .50% cobalt and 1.20% nickel with a much larger inferred and indicated envelope of 8.4 million tonnes grading .20% cobalt and .65% nickel."

In addition, you will also note in the above article that it clearly states that the "privately owned" Select Minerals were the holder of the Mt Thirsty "deposit" in 2006 i.e. they owned 100% of the Mt Thirsty "deposit", which also thus confirms my findings.

Moving along, in late December 2006 i.e. just after the above article from Business News was published, BAR (now GSR) announced the following:

"Barra Resources Limited (“Barra”) entered into an Agreement with Project owner and tenement holder Select Minerals Pty Ltd (“Select”) in late December 2006"

This statement can be found in the 2007 AR from BAR (now GSR):

I found all of the above to be highly interesting to say the very least.

I would be very interested to hear the thoughts of other posters on all Mt Thirsty related forums i.e. GAL, CNJ and GSR.

    Thanks and cheers!
