Who is Eastern Ukrainian? You mean Ukrainian who identify themselves as more Russian, see the contradiction here and what the Ukrainian are fighting for. They were clearly used by Putin for this end game of his, we all know he doesn't believe Ukraine exist as a sovereign democratic country so Ukrainian doesn't exist to him. So he used them as prawn to cause this regional conflict for 8 years, if he was really concern he would have migrated them into Russia and given them citizenship like he did when he started the invasion and both countries can live peacefully along side each other.
