I explained why. Its called handling client expectations. In this scenario, we are the client. For example, when one asks me when I will complete their project by I might say 8 weeks, even though I expect to complete it reasonably within 6 weeks. This way when I hand it to them early they are even more impressed. And in the event something does go wrong causing signficant delays, I can still meet their deadline. Its a buffer. I'm assuming somebody as smart as SG does the same thing
