Unless you made a primary investment at IPO or funded a CR, you just bought your shares off someone else on the exchange, you never gave money to the company and they don't owe you anything more than your contractual rights as a shareholder.
If @Pastry1 decides to sell their shares on the market tomorrow, does the person who buys them from him now inherit everything you say is owed to @Pastry1?
