    Yeah, at the moment, unlike in the UK, there is no feed-in tariff (the term used for the amount paid by utility companies for surplus electricity) for fuel cells, as they are not strictly renewable when run off town gas. They are low-carbon, not no-carbon.

    From memory, the feed-in tariff for Queensland for solar is around 40c per kWh. That's over double the retail price for nonrenewable power. So, you can see how much a feed-in tariff would help the economics of a fuel cell unit.
