– Daily short volume (DSV) on the 14th was 485,411*. Total traded volume (TTV) was 1,148,500 (1,042,311 on ASX, 106189 on Chi-X)
– Total short volume (TSV) on the 9th it was 7,222,083, which is a decrease of 265,593 shares from the tsv on the 8th.
– As 339,310 shares were shorted on the 9th, this means a total of 604,903 shorted shares were covered on the 9th. Total volume traded on the ASX on the 9th was 1,235,450 (I didn't record Chi-X volume, but it's usually between 10-20% of ASX volume).
I hope all this makes sense. Any suggestions on how to make the data clearer are welcome. Also, if anyone else wants to keep track of daily Chi-X volume and the DSVs that would be great, in case forget to record it.
*DSV data will always be from ASX. It's unreliable but it's all we have to work with.
