The reason that we need immigrants is because our unemployed
dont have the skills/education that employers want.
eg: nurses, mechanics, plumbers, electricians etc etc.
Over half of the mechanics at a nearby motor dealership
are migrants who had extensive product training in their country of
origin.
Many of our unemployed casual workers are "unemployable"
For example my local bakery/cafe only employs
university students (many of which are part time) because they
are more reliable, honest & organise their own rosters and have less "sickies"
than the local unemployed.
