I can undertand takuan and others getting frustrated in this crazy market, because these days it seems there's no justice at all sometimes. You can analyse a stock put in tons of work, take a position and drop 10-20% for no good reason except sentiment, meanwhile chartists have been cleaning up by getting in and out on momentum. I feel the same way sometimes, but for me it's been a case of if you can't beat em join em where possible, but try to remain aware of the medium-long term risks/potential :)

A good example of no justice for tons of work done is ctindale imo, and other deflationists. The problem is they believe there is some sort of integrity in the monetary system, like in the great depression where there was actually a gold standard. This time govts will do anything possible, including writing off debts and gigantic money printing to get results. The US would actually print money and hand it out directly if it came to that imo.
