For example my local bakery/cafe only employs
university students (many of which are part time) because they
are more reliable, honest & organise their own rosters and have less "sickies"
than the local unemployed.

The reason we dont have mechanics is because the workshop charges 100$ at least per hour for labor and pays the mechanic 28$ per hour if that.
