firstly this should be primarily a medical decision, and the government should have no right to control women's bodies - BUT

late term ie beyond 21 weeks is quite dodgy as the fetus is then viable, and the ethics are in choppy waters

secondly abortion is more and more being used as a type of contraception, and this practice is not really good.
