Yes, they are allowed to do this. This is the response I received on the Investor Hub:
Directors’ and Officers of the Company were able to access this facility, which is provided for in the Company’s Securities Incentive Plan. The SIP (short and long term incentives) forms part of our executives and officers total remuneration package. The loans are fully secured against the shares issued to the SIP participants, incur interest at the rate of 3% per annum, and have a two-year term.
