The Australian Rail Track Corporation has advised the the important Moss Vale to Unanderra (near Port Kembla NSW) crosscountry rail line will reopen at 1200 hours on 4 October 2022.
Not before time, and has at least twice been revised: it's been closed for months due to landslides with the heavy rain earlier in the year.
Hopefully its stays open for a while so grain trains from the NSW Riverina no longer have to divert via the circuitous route through Campbelltown, Enfield and Hurstville/Wollongong.
