This is my whole point. ATM they are very very specific problems that revolve around big data crunching like security encryption, maybe database searches (like say google) and simulation (of say drug combinations). Or so I heard from a lecture I went to ... It's useless for most other things a typical silicone chip can do...ATM all I'm seeing is encryption for a mobile. I'm not sure that's overly important unless it's just so cheap that it doesn't make the phone more expensive. People want cheaper phones, better cameras etc...What we need is more uses for our chip. This means developing software (to leverage the hardware) that solves existing problems. Very happy for others with more knowledge on the quantum stuff to unpack this more ...
