I have remarked at least twice before that the single thing I recall from her one interview was her comment that you only get one shot at getting a trial right and that is what she is on board for ... mitigating any risks to achieve best shot at trial success ... so maybe this is what is being done

you just have to look at her LinkedIN bio.... here is a piece from it when she was the SVP clinical development in USA from 2014 to 2020 for CSL just prior to being promoted to chief medical officer :

"based in Pennsylvania, providing leadership to global clinical development of R&D assets at CSL a leading biopharmaceutical company specialising in protein therapeutics..."

I don't think she came on board or took on the chair role to just earn another board salary..... I think she is here for the patients
