First Feed

that's a big first feed, i would be surprised if it fit down the SBT's oesophagus.

The oldest stage 1 larvae only survived to 38 days, so they are dead. IMO this would be closed to where the yolk would run out anyway. IMO first feed would be a smaller organism in the wild, not sure, but maybe a large rotifer strain could be used.

"This year the company was successful in feeding the larvae their first live feeds, whereas in the previous year this was a significant hurdle. The larval rearing staff are currently conducting a detailed review of the season to date and are working to further refine procedures and programmes before the next spawning."

Assuming that they fed on the kingfish larvae. If they had no survival and there was a first feed, then obviously something is lacking nutritionally for the SBT larvae.

Overall, not a successful spawn, maybe they can get further information for survival in March, if the broodstock spawn.

Good luck, all un-proven technology, IMO wait for success before investment.
