$18,000 may not be much to a high roller like you champ, but it's a lot to many people, event Directors. Particularly after the paid $50,000 on market in the previous 12 months. 2 Other directors have $850,000 and 1.6 Million invested in the company.
Holding Directors responsible is fine, but making assumptions about their financial status and what their risk factor should be is pretty difficult.
