hmmm.... interesting to see what happens from here.

This is the 2nd time that spawning was induced (first time was march last year - fish at 2kg in 2009 ann. report)

The death of all the fingerlings is disappointing and interesting. According to the report it seems that the last of the fish were feeding up until they died. From this I assume that the fish were not stressed, as stressed/sick animals tend to lose appetite (generalisation on my behalf).

The continued courting behaviour is promising - this suggests to me they have the spawning pretty well sussed.

In the announcement there is a paragraph on a commercial agreement with kinki - Im not sure of the significance of this. (good or bad? - I assume good)

The restructuring of the kingfish business is a positive as is the growth in kingfish sales - I have seen CSS kingfish in the supermarket.

I am still digesting this annoucement and hold. Like any speccie company the risk at this stage is high and the capital intensive nature of the tuna r+d is the main issue as mistakes are very expensive. They will likely get there in the end, but whether people are keen to fund until the end is the question.
