Disagree that Ukraine hasn't done tactical withdrawals.
Disagree on characterising defeat and retreat from entire regions as tactical withdrawals.
Disagree that Russian losses haven't been catastrophic. Their professional army has been gutted, with the majority of their initial invasion force killed or wounded. Plus the loss of more than 1,000 tanks, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet etc. Russia has not sustained such losses since the Second World War.
The war has been a giant cluster truck for Russia, and they only have themselves to blame. They do not have the ability to defeat Ukraine, so mobilisation is just throwing more blood and money down the drain.
