Certainly the workers at the Herron plant in Brisbane would be checking their resumes,workers went on strike at 4am Thursday, they are on strike for a better redundancy package. The union's Queensland representative said striking workers had also been told they'll be locked out when their week-long protest ends. Then a trading halt on SIP Friday morning,an announcement on the revised earnings guidance arising from year end adjustments, by next Monday before trading. Can't help but think the two are connected in some way,probably coincidence,anyway,IMHO,doesn't look good for Monday. If they give lower earnings guidance,there will be hell to pay from shareholders after the capital raising in October, the weekend would be a good time for deliberation and possible consultation with lawyers,about their carefully worded statement for Monday. Who knows, they might surprise us all on Monday,just wouldn't want to take bets on it.
