there is a lot of hysteria about mad cow disease

there was suppose to have been a massive outbreak in humans after the UKs bovine epidemic but now 20-30 yrs later- i havent heard of one?

i dont even now even there has been a cause diagnosed in UK cattle in recent times? but its worth asking the question because to my knowledge a lot of work went into wiping it out

it started by cattle being fed meat meal- that practice is now banned and those cattle have long been removed from the food chain

mad cow doesnt run rampant through herds like 'foot and mouth'

there have been cases of CJD in australia yet we have never had it except for a case in a zoo animal

there are many smart people with a lot on the line who study these things and have to make the decisions about disease control- i would trust them of hystericals who want to make it a political issue squealing its a labour or liberal government conspiracy
