well aimed stimulus was called for but I think the $900 cash handouts and pink batt schemes were unnecessary and untargeted and smelt of panic - "let's do anything so long as it's populist" e.g. if Rudd is serious about housing affordability why did he increase and extend the vendor's grant?
the reality is that the very fast bounce from China had more meaningful impact on our GDP
