The Fed has to be the most reckless institution ever, repeatedly it has shown most of their decisions and actions have been slow, wrong and panicky.
Soft landing mantra is now full blown hard landing.
They are simply cutting their own throats, as high USD$ will severely impact US companies that sell abroad, (i think the total figure is around 70% of their revenue is derived from overseas)
My guess they want to get this over and done with before the mid term elections.
Then the Fed will hit the brakes and cut interest rates once they realise they have ploughed everyone into a brick wall.
