I 100% believe Kaddy was purchased because their software was superior. Otherwise we would have fought them in the trenches for market share. There are a bunch of other little businesses we could have bought for the money if it was just about the KPI.
If you don't understand the following paragraph then you might struggle to understand the business: Our tech stack is a React/Next (with some legacy Vue.js) frontend that’s mediated by GraphQL (Apollo) to a Go API backed by Postgres—all hosted on Heroku/Netlify.
I think someone here mentioned that our original platform was built on shopify... not all platforms are built the same and the original platform was not built for growth. This is why the first casualties of the merger were the DW8 product team.
