Two questions though:

Do not have a superfund - do that meself. I do a lot of trading with marginal lending because it suits me and while gearing is dangerous in certain markets it is also great when the tide's running your way. Interest rate cheap at the mo.

Question 1. What would your opinion be of margin lenders that lend your shares they hold as security to shorters? I believe it happens and if proven should be stopped immediately. It should be illegal and rank as fraud. Have been trying to find out more about this but not easy to get at the truth. The ASX needs to understand this.

Question 2. Do you think that those of us contibuting to HC should have a forum identifying the BOT victims and climbing into them big time? The objective of the BOT trading is to secure huge parcels of shares with great fundamentals and great potential but spooking the market through technical analysis. Probably to orchestrate a cheaper takeover or MBO. Or maybe just to raid a company to put in place a scenario which the aforementioned can be quickly actioned. Or maybe a a hedger just needing to make a few dollars here and there to pay the rent and salaries. Seen it before many times.

I am not opposed to TA as it is just another method of assessing future success. However BOT trading can carve a share price to pieces short term while FA still needs a lot of lies to fool us all. Bad auditors. crooked directors, dumb decisions, changing markets, physical disasters, et al.

Personally, if discovering an obvious BOT victim for me the first job is to check the fundas and, if OK, get in boots and all. If not get out before the truth does.

As for BPT - bought more today. Sold these shares as a trade in 2007 around $1.50 I recall vaguely. BPT stronger now than then and if one beleves the POO will stay at $US80 then perhaps its better to go for Dominoes or JB HiFi.
