Eg - the charging circuit has slightly higher resistance, which means it takes more power to charge your battery...
At least with fuel, being a physical thing, you can verify your 5 litres of fuel is actually 5 litres of fuel.

That we don't know the real risks when EV's are not well maintained,
There's heaps of issues, and fanboying about "new tech" isn't scientific.
EV's have cool factor and it's a cool idea, it doesn't imply that they're up to the task
