Metcash last Monday offered reduncancies and limited re-employment opportunities to staff at the Leichhardt (Sydney) store of their wholesale outlet "Campbells Cash and Carry" - citing difficulties with the lease agreement renewal with the site owner as a contributory factor.. Yesterday, despite a long standing lease agreement with the owner of the St.Leonards site (which is not up for renewal), MTS also has announced the closure of this branch of "Campbells" - both stores to cease trading on the 30th April.
