My take on this is that Lubricen is the name of a gel formulation that is made up of several compounds with the active ingredients being glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid. If we choose to get another manufacturer to make our Lubricen, or make our own with a different gel component, I am not that sure that anything will change regarding the product. As long as the make up of the active ingredients are the same this may be viewed as unchanged. Compounding pharmacists make various medicines and creams in the same way following a guide to produce an equivilant medicine to that which has been trialed and tested and their practice is all TGA approved.
