Performance shares at $2.55 is a kick in the teeth to SH. $2.55 is not a target to influence anyones performance, thus goes against the core reason of what performance shares are for.
Sams rather large annual salary pays him for the day to day running of SRL as CEO, considering its a piece of dirt and not an operating mine. Performance renumeration, in this case in the way of shares should be set at a much higher price to influence better performance. In SRLs case, getting this project financed with offtakes, otherwise he is getting performance shares without the performance.
