Has anyone read "No One Would Listen : A Real Financial Thriller" by Harry Markopolos?
It's about Markopolos trying to point US financial regulatory bodies towards what looked like an obvious Ponzi Scheme Rip-off being run by Bernie Madoff..... the losses could have been stopped at $10Billion round ten years ago if someone had listened to Markopolos... instead, 10 years later $65 Billion was eventually lost and many thousands of people financially ruined.
Gee, but you have to be careful what you say..... wouldn't want to be done for defamation..... Maybe that is why the authorities failed to act....???
Interesting, that in Kiyosaki's book, "Who Took My Money?", he points out some frightening statistics, showing that from 1970 to 1999, the top 100 CEO's in the USA has an increase in their average annual compensation increase from 39 times the pay of the average worker in 1970 to more than a 1000 times in 1999.... crikey, that's not even including the last 10 heady years....
Also, Kiyosaki's book goes on to talk about the shortfall in the monies to pay out baby boomers in these companies who will be retiring... shortfall of billions of dollars (at 2003) in the "pension plans" of large US corporations.... like GMH (lol) $94.7 Billion, Ford $46.6 Billion, IBM $25.3 Billion.....
So, as the well suited, legally well represented corporates and financiers ride off into the sunset with bulging saddlebags, remember, they've got your savings and super..... shhh, but don't say anything, you may say something defamatory....
