You must live in a fortunate area.
Where I live there is currently a four to five year wait for free public dental treatment.
They do usually see emergencies on the same day though.
I used to be on a regional health committee and always pushed hardest for better dental services but obviously failed lol. Other health services here are fine and have improved but dental is lagging far behind.
