I never once put the conflict on Ukraine. The country is the unfortunate battle field between two giants in a power struggle over control of global gas supply. Thats literally the reason for all the bloodshed. The region prior was mostly pro Russian, doesn't mean they want to be part of Russia. Just the sentiment as culturally and historically there were many Russians living there. While the government was pro west and U.S. planned a coup to install Yatsenyuk to serve their interest. Shit hit fan very quickly after that.
