What I like about this style of deposit is open cut from the start with immediate cash flow (obvious) but as the pit(s) go deeper, each cut back can pickup one or more new lenses from surface which provides cash flow to pay for each cutback (+ maintain production n revenue - cash is king) - these cutbacks in traditional deposits are often barren n cost money to get deeper (depending on economic shells of course). The whole style of the multiple lens deposit makes the mining economics very favorable. Each cutback then makes money + gets deeper to get to the octopus body lol
The last (deepest pit floor on the rough sketch here) can then have multiple production zones (6+) in the pit which provides for very flexible operations incl. blending etc.
Then whack portal (s) in pit to go underground (to take it all out right to the lease boundary (esp if higher grades n widths at depth which it looks like it could be.
(Note - am on the phone atm so bad graphics but hope it provides an insight - concept only n based on limited real data of course
