For a lot of Americans the fact that the rest of the world more or less loaths Bush would be a plus for Bush.
From time to time the US which in my view possesses a quiet unsubtle view of itself as the dominant country in the world goesisolationist. Voting in an agressive president willing to take anything where ever it may be located in order to preserve that global dominance should not be a suprise to anyone.
After all - the state of Americans mortgages are even more precious and a higher priority to them than ours are (to them) - and we recently voted mortgages and economic stability as far more important than anything else ourselves!
Bush might be a bit unhinged and happy to kill lots of American kids in the process of killing even more foreign peasants but at least none of the kids that are getting killed live near them (after all, one doesn't belong to the GOP and send your kids to an Ivy League University so that they can join the rmy does one.)
And that SUV uses the devils own quantity of juice!!
