@Rouge1 - Tesla neural networks ARE in the car - how would it drive if the internet fell over?
They take the raw signal from the cameras and transform that pixel data into vector space, which if you've driven a Tesla is partially shown on the monitor.

Here is a video that explains the process

The training data for Autopilot would be done centrally and that is maybe what you are thinking of.

Once quantum chips are available there are obvious applications to use them within the neural networks as per the video above. It would seem like a no-brainer to palm off a few of the more computationally expensive algorithms to a quantum chip where applicable.
It's amazing what these computers are doing already, these cameras are operating at 40 frames per second and running calculations through a series of neural nets on each frame. Not only that they are using previous frames (based on time and distance travelled) to create a "video" of its surroundings.

What this shows is that any kind of mobile AI system, especially a system that needs to 'see' (robot, car, truck, plane) could benefit from quantum chips (once created) that could help run these very complicated algorithms.

IMO - DYOR - Good luck all.
