Yes saw that article prior Treed. But I doubt the requirement for ZBM's to fully discharge will be removed anytime soon. It seems to be a complex, if not impossible, problem to solve. I understand this problem is common across many battery chemistries (remember reading that it was a killer for Li - S batteries that had promise as lightweight batteries that would otherwise be good for drones etc.).
So RFX's periodic full discharge of their battery is probably the only real option for the foreseeable future. Not sure if this paper was ever referenced on HC https://www.mdpi.com/2313-0105/8/9/117/pdf - I presume the boys at UQ are across it though.
The periodic full discharge feature is something that I don't think the vanadium batteries and Gelion battery have to deal with SimonGr?
