Well done on the massive increase over the past few years!

I'd echo the sentiments here.

I started with even less. But it has been worth it.

1) Fees - my old super fund would've charged me double compared to what I'm being charged now. To be fair, I do all my investing free of charge.

2) Investing - when you leave it in a super fund there is a detachment to it. It is hard to care. When you see it every day and you know what you're holding, the sense of control and responsibility makes it very interesting. Of course, if you don't have an interest in investing then you may be better off in a super fund.
