Yes but Eurochem is 90% Russian owned (Andrey Melnichenko transferred ownership to his wife Alexandra Melnichenko as he was sanctioned).
The Russians have plenty of experience operating in African. In fact, many African countries rely on Russian Wagner group for protection (Mali, CAR, Mozambique, Libya and potentially Burkina Faso soon).
I wouldn't rule it out yet. Africa is not so foreign to Russians, they have a lot of support in the region.
