Sungar, i think your been a little critical and judgmental. I was once told: DO WHAT YOU ENJOY MOST AND ARE BEST AT. MASTER THAT AND BECOME THE BEST IN YOUR FIELD AND THE REWARDS WILL COME.
Very sound advice imo. Very sound.
Comparative Advantage! Do what you are best at. Become a specialist in your field and all the rewards will come.
Getting back to your lack of passion...sounds like you need a challenge.
Get the book Sypladin suggested: 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey.
I went for a holiday in Vietnam earlier this year and caught a bus between cities with a divorced 40 year old from California who had been traveling in SE Asia for 6 months by himself. He as an ex-employ of a very large motivational speaking firm FOUNDED BY STEVEN COVER (i think the firm was called Templeton?).
Anyhow, very interesting man (his name was Chris by memory). He mentioned to me that he had really found himself again whilst been away and if he may have lost touch with himself over the years, again learnt who he exactly was.
Point been. You are 26. Very young. Losts of ppl in various fields start their career at 26 (eg, lawyers, doctors, surgeons, some bankers etc).
Doing a pos-grad course something to ponder over.
You'll work it out.
