Fuel excise cut ended on 28 September at 11:59pm, with the current Labor government refusing to maintain the excise cut, spurring retailers on to again punish the consumer's at the bowser and put upward pressure on inflation.

At a cost of reportedly $3B, the government has elected to abandon struggling families and allow continued upward pressure on inflation, as the cost of goods rise on the back of transport cost.

Only months out from the NH winter and impending winter energy crunch, energy cost are likely to continue to rise, and with it inflation and higher interest rates.

So why did the Government abandon the people?
