I am sure that I saw a recent news item where a Chinese company was getting access to one of the existing copperbelt mines. In that item there was a reference to the company not being interested in doing the mining themselves but going into a joint venture with somebody else... I have been trying to dig this piece but I just can't find it. Did anybody else see this article also?
