Here's an alternative thought
Maybe PVDM was the only one at the time to make the connection of JAST to the neuromorphic work he was doing and moved before the "big boys" realised or attached any importance to it.
There are some benefits to being a smaller company with being nimble and not a lumbering corporate who would have meetings upon meetings and presentations blah blah and how ever many different approvals before acting.
