As JDP has pointed out, one can't (legally) avoid lodging substantial holdings nofices by splitting holdings of related entities. I'm not saying that any such evasion has been occurring; I'm just pointing out that IF it had it would be a breach of the regulations.
Lodging the notices is a responsibility of the shareholder(s), not of the company in which they are held. A notice must be lodged within days of a 1% point movement up or down if the holding is 5% or more.
