I trade stocks, and I invest in companies, I don't take the price action personally, although it hurts sometimes, I don't have a moral standpoint on it either. I currently live in Spain so I do not trade the ASX.

Trading is following the momentum regardless of direction, and 90% of daily price action is trading. Investing is based on macros and fundamentals, hence why no-one is buying ASM, and the only price action you see is traders taking advantage of the weakness. We just saw the opposite of this 12 months ago when traders took advantage of its strength pushing the price above $14, as I've said multiple times now ....it works both ways, so taking a moral view of something that only rewards you in one direction, but works on the same principals in both directions is ....well it's your choice.

If people are of the impression that the company being valued at over 1Bn MC @$14, when they had no earnings and the mine, at that time, was 3 years away from producing anything, was justified.....then they are failing to see that the force that over inflates the price is the same force that pushes it below a fair valuation also, this force does not consider the fundamentals obviously, it dose not care about balance sheets, it just pushes the existing sentiment to its limit in a certain direction...until.... buyers or sellers show up in larger numbers than the force itself....the force is trading.

For the record I have 52,379 shares in ASM, I'll be looking for it to top its ATH in the next two years.
