There has been a lot of bad news about Telstra in the newspapers and last week panic selling based on a letter sent to shareholders.
Usually shares which go ex dividend do recover to the former pre-dividend price.
RBS Morgans is of the view that the dividend may rise due to lower capital expenditure requirements in the second half.
Telstra repaid a significant debt recently out of cash fow so they must be going ok.
Always seek the advice of a sharebroker before buying this or any other share.
